Real-World Optical Accuracy For Contact Lens Evaluation
MTF & WAVEFRONT ANALYSIS IN A MODEL EYE
Unlike conventional testing methods, Lambda-X’s MTF Analyzer uses an advanced physiological model eye to deliver unmatched precision in contact lens evaluation. This model simulates real-world optical conditions, ensuring highly accurate and repeatable measurements.
The system analyzes how light travels through the eye, accounting for the contact lens, cornea, and crystalline lens.
Contact Lens
The first refractive surface, shaping optical performance.
Anterior & Posterior Cornea
Key interfaces affecting optical transmission.
Crystalline Lens
Further refines focus and impacts overall visual quality.
By incorporating realistic eye geometry, this approach enhances precision and consistency, making it a valuable tool for R&D, quality control, and lens design optimization. The resulting MTF values provide a detailed understanding of contrast transfer and sharpness, supporting the development of high-performance contact lenses.

How It Works
MTF ANALYSIS IN ACTION
To perform an MTF analysis, the input data must be a NIMOevo project file (.nimow), created using the CLE-MENTOR software. Once logged in to the MTF Analyzer, simply upload the project file and select the appropriate Model Eye parameters to start the MTF processing.
Within 30 seconds, the MTF Analyzer delivers objective insights into contrast transfer, sharpness, and optical quality across various spatial frequencies. By comparing different lens designs, it provides a clear and repeatable evaluation of optical performance.
Your data is not stored — all files are processed securely in-session.
