With over 20 years of expertise in optical metrology, Lambda-X is a trusted partner for intraocular lens (IOL) characterization and quality control. Our NIMO instruments and Mentor software cover the full IOL lifecycle, from advanced wavefront analysis in R&D to high-throughput quality control in production. Using either laser-based or Phase-Shifting Schlieren (PSS) technology, our solutions provide the accuracy, repeatability, and traceability required to design innovative IOLs and ensure reliable manufacturing outcomes.

Examples of what we measure

All IOL instruments are designed to measure the key optical parameters required for IOL characterization and quality control, including Power and Modulation Transfer Function (MTF). Depending on the instrument, additional parameters such as dimension, and thickness can be added.
